Dear Parents and Carers,

Natalie Goshawk, our Family Support Worker, has very kindly offered to run some parent workshops.  The information below gives you a flavour of the details and content.  If you would like to attend, please contact the school office.  Places are limited so we will respond to confirm places.

Being a parent can be difficult!

Children don’t come with manuals, and it is ok that sometimes on our parenting journeys we ask for a little help to know how to do the best for our children.

We are here to listen and offer a space to reflect, where we can think together about what is behind the behaviour that you see in your child and allow time for you to think about what might help.

The main goals of the workshop is to increase the knowledge, skills, and confidence of parents. These are introductory, informal sessions offered over three 2 hour workshops on the following dates from 1pm to 3pm:

Monday 22nd January

Monday 29th January

Monday 5th February

Each session will have a different focus so the expectation is that each session will be attended.

The workshops will explore:

Have a safe and interesting environment

Have a positive learning environment

Use assertive discipline

Have realistic expectations

Taking care of yourself as a parent
