37 hours per week (all year)

NJC Grade 7 Point 23 – 26

£21268 per annum

To be responsible for all aspects of site management including a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the schools. This includes security, cleanliness, porterage, monitoring contracts/contractors, routine maintenance and refurbishment, minor repairs, advising the School Business Managers and Headteachers on suggested improvements to the general schools environment, to improve the productivity of site management and to carry out pre-planned maintenance programmes. The hours of work will be 7.00 – 11.30am and 2.45 – 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and finish at 5.00pm on Friday.

The re-designation of the SSC at Maidenbower Junior School will turn our current SSC into an ASC Unit from September 2018.

This is rare and exciting opportunity for someone who would like to take their next step in SEND provision to create, design and develop it.

We are looking for someone with appropriate training and skills in this area who would love the challenge and exciting opportunities that this role will provide.

The role will include;

Membership of the School Extended Leadership Team (ELT)

Having a strategic role across the whole school, but with particular responsibility for the creation, design and implementation of a newly designated SSC

Developing the positive promotion and integration of the SSC amongst the whole school and wider community

Modelling excellence in the implementation of school policies including values and Code of Conduct and Confidentiality

Creating a stimulating learning environment using outside resources
