One year temporary Part Time Special Needs Support Assistant

Monday to Friday afternoon

12.30 – 3.15pm total 13.75 hours

 

Maidenbower Junior School requires a temporary part time Special Needs Support Assistant who will be working in a variety of one-to-one contexts – in  our new ASC unit and the classroom.

Successful applicants will have experience of ASC, ADHD and working one to one, although not essential. You will work under the direction of the SENCo, Teacher-in-charge and class teacher.  The support is for the afternoon sessions, every day from Monday to Friday, totalling 13.75hours per week. The hours are 12.30 to 3.15pm, term time only.

The post is temporary and subject to a DBS check, a health check. The applicant will be required to provide the names of two referees.

Applicants should have GCSE English and Maths grade A-C (or equivalent). Previous experience of working with children in either a paid or voluntary capacity would be an advantage.
