In November 2017 we planted trees and a hedgerow at the end of the North field and have created an outside learning environment/forest schools area. Last month a group of workers from Gatwick Greenspace, part of Sussex Wildlife Trust came and helped us to maintain our trees and create a fire circle and pathways. We are very excited that this has created a welcoming environment for the children to enjoy the area and its wildlife. We have recently planted an Oak tree courtesy of Mrs Jenkins and a couple of trees donated to us by one of our pupils “Hermione”. We are looking forward to being able to go outside and use this are now.

Dear Supporters

We are pleased to announce we have launched a school lottery dedicated to raising money through the community FOR the community.

Click here for details of how you can enter – it is a very simple online process. Just register, select your numbers or accept those chosen for you, and set up a direct debit or pay by credit/debit card. Easy.

Tickets cost £1 each week and you can buy as many as you like. All the profit from ticket sales comes back to the school to be spent on extra-curricular activities and resources for the children. Some of our upcoming projects will be literacy items, maps to inspire the children in the cloakrooms and Science workshops to enhance the curriculum.

There is a guaranteed prize paid every week – the more tickets that are sold, the higher the prize fund and the more we raise for our school.

Just click here to buy your tickets and start supporting our school:

And remember, anyone over the age of 16 can join in – staff, parents, carers, grandparents, friends, neighbours, local businesses…anyone willing to support our school. So please help us to spread the word and raise money for the school…and you might even be a winner.

If you have any questions then please pop and see me or contact YourSchoolLottery on 01865 582828 or via email,

Many thanks for your support.

The staff at Maidenbower Junior School.
